Our vision is to bring a meaningful, comprehensive contemporary education to all students, regardless of personal circumstance, to motivate them to learn and be actively engaged in our school community. It is our vision that with this foundation, children will grow into adults with the hearts, minds, and hands to build a better world.
Spanish language, music, art, PE, and musical theatre classes are taught at all grade levels.

Continuing Enrollment:
We need a completed and signed continuing enrollment formby February 21stfor all students intending to continue their attendance at TIS for the 2012-2013 school year so that we can hold a seat for your child. Any form turned in after the February 21st deadline will be included in the Open Enrollment for the coming school year, and may be subject to a lottery for any available seats. The form is conveniently located here or you can pick one up at the TIS front desk.
Application for 2012-2013:
We are accepting applications for enrollment for the 2012-13 school year. We offer tours every Friday. Please call Melinda at 508-3295 to schedule a tour if you are interested in attending TIS. We also have an Open House on Saturday, February 25th from 2 to 4 p.m. We invite you and your family to join us, meet TIS teachers, parents and staff, and learn more about our school.
TIS Gets an "A" Grade from the New Mexico Department of Education
The New Mexico State Department of Education released school grades and TIS was one of 10% of the schools in New Mexico that recieved an A grade based on student improvement, test scores and parent involvement. Click here to see our school report card.
Alternative Route to TIS (Bad Weather)
Here is a map of an alternative way to get to The International School under serious weather conditions. If the roads are still icy when we return to school, please consider taking this route on Bobby Foster. It's a little but longer, but the roads are not as steep. The blue line actually leads yo to the Aperture Center -- but you should be able to find your way once you are on the mesa.
